Love was in the air with “As Canções de Amor de Jorge Palma”

Jorge Palma needs no introduction, he is one of the biggest names in Portuguese music, who deserves to be celebrated, whenever he takes the stage, Sagres Campo Pequeno, fills up again to hear him in a more romantic version.

Jorge Palma returned to the big concerts and big venues in Lisbon and in the morning at Coliseu do Porto to celebrate Valentine’s Day with “As Canções de Amor by Jorge Palma” (“The Love Songs by Jorge Palma”), in the company of Marisa Liz, Márcia and A Garota Não, for yet another excellent edition of the Montepio Às vezes o Amor festival.

The 9th edition of the festival Montepio Às vezes o Amor festival celebrates, in two concerts, one of the greatest and most beloved Portuguese singer-songwriters, in one of the most democratic festivals in Portugal, which takes music and artists to the four corners of Portugal.

Jorge Palma was on stage not only with the guests but also with the orchestra conducted by Maestro Cesário Costa, who, with his usual mastery, accompanied and gave even more shine to Jorge Palma’s songs, which on the piano, guitar or just singing he dazzled an audience, who accompanied him and applauded from beginning to end.

A concert where Marisa Liz, Márcia e A Garota Não, performed songs by Jorge Palma, and Jorge sang songs by his guests, in the lineup there were still some surprises, such as ‘Avec le temps’, ‘Bird on the Wire’ or a theme from his friend Sergio Godinho.

The Montepio à Vezes o Amor Festival is a festival of music and love that travels around the country, with some of the best Portuguese musicians, don’t miss tomorrow, another day of the festival.
