The city’s holiest Arraial is back at Praça da Alegria
Today, May 26, the Santo António Arraial begins at Praça da Alegria (Jardim Alfredo Keil) at noon, organised by Grupo 7 dos Escoteiros de Portugal, with the support of the Parish of Santo António – Lisbon and the official sponsorship of Sagres.
The smell of sardines, basil and popular music can already be felt in the air, with the traditional Santo António Arraial, which will take place between May 26 and June 22.
From Sunday to Thursday, from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the Santo António Arraial will liven up Praça da Alegria, with drinks, snacks and music. On Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of holidays, between 12:00 p.m. and midnight, there will be live music. On June 12th, the night of the city’s Patron Saint, the Arraial will take place between 12pm and 2am.
