Tim Fehlbaum takes us back to the 1972 Munich Olympics, but this time from the perspective of ABC, the only station that was broadcasting live the terrorist operation that shocked the world.
The September 5th tells the story of ABC Television, which was in Munich covering the 1972 Olympic Games when sports journalists were confronted with the terrorist attack that shook the world. As the only television station to broadcast live, all other journalists followed ABC’s broadcast. Ethics, truth, respect for those who watched and especially for the victims’ families were points that the film focuses on.
An excellent film that features solid performances by Peter Sarsgaard, John Magaro, Ben Chaplin and Leonie Benesch, directed by Tim Fehlbaum.
