Children’s Day is celebrated at WOW for four days and there are free tickets

From the 1st to the 4th of June, children up to 12 years old do not pay a ticket on WOW. This is the way found by the cultural quarter to celebrate the event and invite the little ones to play while they learn.

From the 1st of June, Thursday, until Sunday, there will be six museums with their doors open for the little ones. From 10 am, simply show proof of age at the WOW ticket offices to be able to receive gift tickets and visit each of the six museums available free of charge.

Children’s Day is celebrated with the aim of raising awareness of children’s rights and the need to promote better living conditions. For healthy development, education and culture play a fundamental role. Therefore, it made a lot of sense for us to take advantage of this event to open our doors to the little ones, so that they gain a taste for museums and so that they realize how much fun it is”, explains Marta Bravo, Director of Museums at WOW.

With free admission for children, from the 1st to the 4th of June, there will be the following museums: The Chocolate Story, which reveals the whole story from cocoa to the chocolate tablet, and Planet Cork, where it is possible to learn all about cork through a lot of interaction and fun, Pink Palace, to discover and take pictures in the most exuberant scenarios, The Bridge Collection, where the history of different civilizations is told through archaeological pieces, Porto Region Across the Ages, to learn the history of the city and the region in the most fantastic ways, and The Wine Experience, an immersive and fun museum, where you will be able to learn a lot about geography and the cycles of Nature – and where the wine tasting will be replaced by juice.
