The jury included José Jorge Letria (representative of the Vila Franca de Xira City Council), Pedro Campos (composer and musician), Amélia Muge (representative of the Portuguese Society of Authors), and Rui Filipe Reis (music critic). The prize will be awarded on a date to be announced.

Established in 2003 by the Vila Franca de Xira City Council, the Carlos Paredes Prize was born to honor the genius Portuguese musician, whose singular work is still alive and giving rise to new artistic creations, demonstrating the vitality of his work.
