- In June and July at the Charlot Cinema and Luísa Todi Forum
The third edition of Festival Língua Terra will start on June 3rd with a diversified program: concerts, workshops, and documentary screenings will occupy the Luísa Todi Forum and the Charlot Cinema – Municipal Auditorium, in Setúbal, in June and July.
According to founder and organizer Mônica Cosas, “Língua Terra was born with the aim of promoting exchange between artists from countries united by the Portuguese language and fostering cultural connections and collaborative artistic creations, seeking to make visible the cultural diversity that makes up the different territories and contribute to reflections about a more just and egalitarian world”.
Thus, this third edition of Lingua Terra once again favors cultural manifestations in Brazil, emphasizing female artistic expression, with the poster being entirely composed of women who find art a source of expression.
Music is very well represented by two great talents of Brazilian music: Adriana Calcanhotto, who invited Salvador Sobral to participate in her concert on June 5th, (tickets for this presentation are already sold out), and Bia Ferreira who will perform on July 2, both on tour to promote their new albums. And more: artist educator Dani Zulu will give the workshop “Initiation to body percussion”, opening the festival on June 3rd, next Saturday.
The poster is completed with the screening of the documentaries “Aleluia: O Canto Infinito”, directed by filmmaker Tenille Bezerra on June 7th; “Filhos de João: O Admirável Mundo Novo Baiano”, directed by Henrique Dantas, on the 14th of June and “Aquilo que Eu Nunca Perdi”, directed by Marina Thomé, on the 21st of June.

Bia Ferreira will close the third edition of Língua Terra with a golden key. The artist is one of the most outstanding names of the new generation of Brazilian musicians. Bia will give a show that marks the tour of her album “Faminta”, in which she invites spectators to dive into her powerful lyrics.
In recent years, Bia Ferreira has established herself with her works that involve musical references from soul, reggae, blues, funk, R&B, and Gospel and raise a moment of enlightenment, provocation, and struggle. With almost a decade of experience and presence in the major music circuits, the artist echoes, in addition to her work, respect for the LGBTQlA+ community, racism, and xenophobia. As the artist herself defines, her music is “MMP-Música de Mulher Preta” and deals with important social themes.
The night will also feature an opening act by singer-songwriter Bárbara Eugênia, with a mix of Brazilian rhythms, rock, folk, electronic music, and experimentation. The award-winning artist, who has already received the Multishow Award for Brazilian Music, has been making her way in the music scene since 2008 – with tours in Europe and the United States.
