For Rui Pedro Tendinha, film curator at the Tribeca Festival Lisboa, “this stage is an ode to narrative boldness. It is here that cinema reveals itself without filters, where directors take risks and where the audience is challenged to feel, think, and converse. The Theater by Toyota is undoubtedly one of the beating hearts of Tribeca Lisboa, with new voices and a desire to embody a distinctive narrative desire in its works.”
Rita Dória, Toyota’s General Director of Marketing and Customer Experience, reinforces: “Toyota’s presence at Tribeca Festival Lisboa 2025 represents much more than a sponsorship—it is a partnership of values and an active participation in the cultural, social, and environmental transformation that both entities promote. Aligned with our Progressive Optimist vision, with this partnership with Tribeca, we present our “Toyota Movement,” a living commitment to inspiring culture, inclusive mobility, and responsible sustainability. The collaboration with Tribeca reinforces Toyota’s role as an agent of change, moving not only people, but also ideas and consciousness toward a better future.”
It’s worth remembering that in August, the Tribeca Festival Lisbon announced the first batch of films, highlighting Bugonia, starring Emma Stone, and exclusive premieres and previews of The Best You Can and Beyond the Horizon — The Crossing, by Fernando Vendrell. These films join the list of films announced in the Theater By Toyota program and are scheduled for the festival’s other theater, whose program will be announced soon.
With international names already confirmed, such as Kim Cattrall, Meg Ryan, and Giancarlo Esposito, and with the strategic support of partners such as Betclic, Lisbon City Council, MEO, Toyota, Turismo de Portugal, and Vilamoura, the Tribeca Festival Lisbon promises to be a memorable edition.
While tickets for individual cinema sessions are not available for sale – with a release date scheduled for September 22nd – film lovers can purchase Cinema Pack I and II, offering access to 6 and 3 screenings, respectively. The organisers announce that the 20% discounted versions of these packs, still available, are close to selling out and can be purchased through the festival website www.tribecalisboa.pt, at BOL, and at the usual locations.
