Benfica said goodbye with an Anfield draw, 3-3, in the Champions League, with the Portuguese team giving a good reply and scaring Liverpool.
Liverpool in both legs won 6-4, but a Portuguese team going to play with a European colossus, scoring 3 goals and drawing 3-3, is a more than honourable departure, in this Benfica that at European level, was great, and the national level, has been so disappointing.
Benfica had the task, for many impossible, of scoring at least 2 goals and not conceding any to take the game to penalties, but mistakes in defence made the turnaround very difficult.

Jurgen Klopp made several changes, Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Fabinho, Thiago and Sadio Mané did not start, putting several less used players, and that’s why Liverpool came in slower, even so, they scored first Konaté, at 21 minutes.
