Iolanda’s “Grito” won

RTP Song Festival

Iolanda is the winner of the 2024 edition of the Song Festival and will represent the colours of Portugal at Eurovision, in May, in Sweden.

Iolanda will represent Portugal at Eurovision, this year’s edition will be between the 7th and 11th of May in Malmö, Sweden. The artist who was invited won this Saturday with the song “Grito“.

The Portuguese singer and songwriter debuted in 2023 with the EP Cura, which included the singles “Cura” and “Lugar Certo”, born in Figueira da Foz, trained at the BIMM Music Institute, in London, and Hot Clube from Portugal, and a composer she has written songs by Bárbara Tinoco or Bárbara Bandeira.

“Grito” was written in partnership with Luar, and was one of the most listened to on streaming platforms, obtaining a total of 22 points, 12 points from the jury, the maximum score and 10 points from the public. Second place went to João Borsch, with “…Pelas Costuras”, which was the public’s favourite with 12 points, third place went to Leo Middea, with the song “Doce Mistério”.
