The musical group Os Tubarões, last Friday, February 19, turned 52 years of its existence and this date will be celebrated on March 26, with a gala dinner.
This gala dinner, according to the same source, will take place in the Warehouse space, in the city of Praia, and will have 200 guests, in a place that has the capacity to receive 700 people. For this event, the organization guarantees that all health and distance rules will be respected.
Os Tubarões is one of the most remarkable musical groups in the history of Cape Verde’s music, mainly after independence in 1975. The group has recorded seven original albums, a compilation and a live album and has performed over a thousand concerts in Cape Verde and around the world.
Currently, the group is formed by Jorge Lima, Zeca Couto, Totó, Russo, Totinho, Bruno and Arlindo. But important artists from Cape Verde have passed through the group, such as Ildo Lobo, Jaime, Chindo, Tozé Barbosa, Mick, Fortinho, Duia, Vitor, Albertino, Zé Brazão, Zequinha, Gulba, Zé Rui, Santos, Pitrólio, Hélder, Jorge Pimpa, Loló, Luisinho Lobo, among others.
