“Snoopy” is the third song by O Marta to anticipate the new album Casta Brava, due out on March 22nd.
This is perhaps Casta Brava’s most positive, kind and sweet song, an ode to friendship and all past experiences with the people that cross our lives.
In a crescendo sound that induces a quick nostalgic submersion in our memories, “Snoopy” is a song that has already electrified the public at O Marta’s most recent concerts, always one of the highlights of their concerts.
“The melody of “Snoopy” is like a warm hug from all the friends who have intertwined throughout my life. It is a kind of memory, an echo of what it means to live outside the convention, to live with passion and joy, without the weight of judgment. To live free, surrounded by those we love. Through music, we are led on a journey that begins by embracing the “out of place”, the “outside the norm”, the “different”, only to find ourselves, in the end, immersed in an open letter of love intended for anyone who needs to hear it.” Refers to the artist.
This song reinforces the two previous singles in the message that O Marta wants to convey: “being free without definition” as said in “Rapaz”. The Casta Brava album to be released on March 22nd will have this theme as one of its main focuses, freedom, the internal and external struggle for a better life. A life with loves and dislikes, with more right and crazy friends, “poets and authors”, “painters and commentators”, in a world where we can be, when we feel like it, “salty and bad cod”.
Casta Brava is presented live for the first time in presentation concerts that take place in Lisbon, Porto and Viseu.
On March 21st the artist takes the stage at Musicbox in Lisbon, on the day of the album’s release he presents it at Maus Hábitos in Porto, finally on March 23rd he performs at Carmo’81 in Viseu, his hometown.
