Herdade da Casa Branca, Zambujeira do Mar

Summer is already here and MEO Sudoeste is ON!

From the 2nd to the 6th of August in Zambujeira do Mar, with the opening of the campsite on the 30th of July, the Tribe will be together again to celebrate music, friendship, and life in an unforgettable environment, with a poster to match the party of an expected return over the last 3 years.

One of the already iconic spaces of the Festival is MOCHELAND. Inspired by the carnival atmosphere found on the most famous piers around the world, MOCHELAND is the space where festival-goers stretch out the night: they stretch out later, stretch out in dance, and experience everything with more intensity. The main entertainment and entertainment area of the enclosure promises to once again be one of the main attractions of MEO Sudoeste. All the animations, such as the already iconic Ferris Wheel, and the music offered on stage, promise to prolong the party into the night. And for that to happen, several live performances are prepared, followed by DJ sets familiar with some of the tribe’s favorite genres, such as hip-hop, house, funk, or afro-house. The MOCHELAND Stage poster is now complete:

On the first night, August 3rd, the MOCHELAND Stage welcomes Chico da Tina, M3dusa, DJ Oder and Stckman.

Chico da Tina, the well-known Portuguese artist and troubadour, author of songs such as “Minho Trapstar”, “Romarias” or “Freicken”, has more recently released “Todo o Dia” and “F*CK FOREX”, all belonging to the album “E Now How It Is”. “We Pimba” was the presentation theme of this record, the artist’s second long-term record. M3dusa is a female trio of DJs created in mid-2019. The collective, made up of Inês Abreu, Inês Condeço, and Mónica Caldeira, promises to go through genres such as hip-hop, soul, R&B, pop, funk, always betting on the fight for freedom. The night of August 3 continues with DJ Oder. The Oder proposes a sound journey where different influences converge. This unique approach, which is his brand image on the dance floor as a DJ, or in the studio as a producer, has given Oder recognition in our country and internationally. On the same night, the MOCHELAND Stage also hosts Stckman, one of the most sought-after and exciting DJs in Greater Lisbon. June 2021 saw the release of the long-awaited debut album, “stckman”, which crosses its electronic pop with house and R&B influences, and which serves as home to themes such as “time w u” or “droptop”.

On August 4th, the MOCHELAND Stage will be animated by Xtinto, Laura, Pierce, and VIL.

xtinto, one of the most promising artists of Portuguese urban music, promises to win over the tribe with his talent. The singer from Ourém has cemented his name in the list of those next to enter the national hip-hop pantheon between singles, EPs, and collaborations with his contemporaries, inside and outside the Portuguese hip-hop universe. Laura is a young DJ from Madeira, who started taking her first steps behind the booth in Lisbon. The various musical influences that accompanied her from a very young age met the world of electronic music and today she brings a sound full of energy, soul, and groove. There is more talent on this stage, also international. Originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, producer and DJ Pierce has a strong passion for music and an unquestionable talent for creating new sounds. With lower frequencies mixed with higher frequencies to create a bewildering hybrid effect, Pierce defies typical dubstep and trap norms. Finally, another proposal for the night of August 4th that brings us more Portuguese talent. VIL’s refined taste and his ability to grow a set have already earned him a place in some of the best clubs in the country, such as Lux Frágil, Gare Porto, and Ministerium, as well as in many of the best electronic festivals. In his latest project, Driven, we see him venturing into faster, deeper house themes.

The night of August 5th will be heated by the rhythms brought by Joint One & Yung Juse, Zinko, DJ Xandy, and DJ Barata.

Joint One & Yung Juse is a duo of artists from Porto, who appeared on the music radar in 2020 with the hit “Tou na Festa”, followed by the hit “MoneyPuxaMoney”, promise to present more news at MEO Sudoeste’s MOCHELAND. In 2019, Zinko was distinguished by the acclaimed 100% DJ platform, for the 4th consecutive time, as one of the 30 best national DJs. In 2020 he released his most extensive work, “SOLIST”, and he never ceases to amaze the public with his talent. With origins in São Tomé, DJ Xandy grew up in the neighborhood of Santa Filomena in Amadora, getting used to a diversity of cultures, and creating a very rich and even traditional musical taste. Now he presents himself as a creative and experienced DJ, implementing the culture of his experiences in the way he treats genres such as afro-house, and tech-house, among others. African rhythms continue to heat up the night of August 5th thanks to DJ Barata, the boy of Angolan origins, raised in the Amadora neighborhood, who bet heavily on afro-house, house, techno, tech-house, deep-house, among other genres of electronic music, becoming a reference in the area.

Finally, on the night of August 6th, the MOCHELAND Stage says goodbye with 9 Miller, Chá de Funk, Liam Cole, and Maurice West.

9 Miller promises to conquer the MOCHELAND Stage. After his success with Liga Knock Out and with Superbad, the rapper focused on his solo career and, after a time of reflection and introspection, returns in force alongside the Real Caviar label with “Já Não Quero Saber”, music that summarizes what he has been experiencing in recent times, presenting himself in a different register than we were used to, without ever losing the strength we know him. On this last night, there is also time to have an irresistible… Funk Tea. This is a funk show with a carioca soul, made up of DJs, MCs, and dancers who, through stage performances, performance, special effects, and interaction, involve the audience in a unique atmosphere. Liam Cole, Portuguese DJ, music producer, and composer, signed by Warner Music Chappel, already has hundreds of millions of streams of songs written/co-produced by him and was invited to work for names like Dr.Dre, Poo Bear, The KID Laroi, Iann Dior, Acraze, ALOK, among others, and is today one of the most listened to Portuguese artists in the world. The international talent returns to the MOCHELAND Stage with the performance of Maurice West. Despite his age, this is without a doubt one of the most promising names in dance music. His productivity and creativity have already led him to collaborate with some of the strongest names in the electronic music industry such as Tiësto, Hardwell, Steve Aoki, KSHMR, and D-Block & S-Te-Fan.

Finally, the young and irreverent fado singer Beatriz Rosário will perform on August 4th at Palco LG by Mega Hits.

Beatriz Rosário, a 23-year-old artist, grew up listening to her grandfather’s records which were the gateway to the Fado universe, combined with her grandmother Rosário’s encouragement to explore her talent. The artist is having great acceptance by the music critics with her new work. The eponymous single from the EP “O que é fez de ti” already has more than 150 thousand views in a short time and promises to win over the MEO Sudoeste audience.
