The band of Danny Nedelko from Bristol, “warriors” of the new wave of punk that has been thriving in that city in the United Kingdom, came to Lisbon after passing through Porto and Vigo, for a concert full of energy and madness.
Heavy Lungs come from the coastal city of Bristol, which also gave us Ditz and IDLES among others, with whom Heavy Lungs have a close relationship, having toured together several times, and have dedicated several songs “Blood Brother” which they dedicated to IDLES, or vice versa, “Danny Nedelko” by IDLES dedicated to the vocalist of Ukrainian origin.
The band was founded in 2017, they have 3 EPs, Abstract Thoughts from 2018, Straight to CD from 2019, and Measure also from 2019, followed by the album All Gas No Brakes released in 2023, and they will release the second in the first half of 2025, at Musicbox, they presented “Get Out,” the first single from the new work.
They also played the songs “Yes Chef,” “Cushion the Blow,” “All Gas No Brakes,” “Stutter,” “Caviar,” “2 Hot 2 Ride,” “Descend,” and “(A Bit of a) Birthday,” in a concert full of energy and good madness, with vocalist Danny Nedelko jumping from the stage to sing and dance with the fans who were at Musicbox.
In Porto, the opening act featured Ekecetera, a band from Porto, while in Lisbon, Bad Tomato opened for the band from Bristol. The show has been signed by Crowdmusic.
