António Zambujo is one of the most outstanding voices in Portuguese music today. He debuted on albums precisely 20 years ago with O same Fado (2002) and since then he has released nine more albums – the most recent, Voz e Violão, was released in 2021. Today, October 21st, it arrives on digital platforms and in stores, its first Best Of.
This Best Of has 20 solo songs from António Zambujo’s vast repertoire, bringing together songs from the albums Por Meu Cante (2004), Outro Sentido (2007), Guia (2010), Quinto (2012) (Double Platinum), Rua da Emenda (2014) (Double Platinum), Até Pensei Que Fosse Minha (2016) (Platinum), Do Avesso (2018) (Gold) and Voice and Guitar (2021).
Inescapable songs from the recent history of Portuguese music such as Pica do 7 (Platina), Flagrante (Gold), Lambreta (Gold), Zorro (Gold), Lote B, Catavento da Sé or Sem Palavras can now be rediscovered in this Best Of.
António Zambujo’s unique music and voice have sold out iconic venues both in and outside of Portugal and have already conquered the other side of the Atlantic, more precisely Brazil, having started collaborations with Roberta Sá, Chico Buarque de Holanda, Ney Matogrosso, Ivan Lins and Zé Renato.
In 2015 he was awarded Commander of the Order of Infante D. Henrique, while the album Antes Pense Que Fosse Minha (where he plays songs by Chico Buarque) was nominated for a Latin Grammy.
As of today, this Best Of will be available on digital platforms and in stores, which brings together the best of a unique career on the national scene.
