The European Blues Challenge is an event promoted by the European Blues Union, which comes to Portugal, once again, through the hands of Trovas Soltas, this time, in partnership with Doctor Blue and Much More and with the support of CM de Braga.
The European Blues Challenge is the biggest blues competition in Europe with around 22 artists representing their respective countries. On this first day, four finalists were already chosen for the final on Saturday, April 7th:
- Kiko & the Blues Refugees (POR)
- The Bottlenecks (SUE)
- Dan Mudd FT Bearbeat (SUI)
- Charlie & the Bell Blues Experience (CRO)
In addition to the band competition, other activities are part of the European Blues Challenge such as the Blues Market, the Blues Expo, the Blues Behind the Scenes Awards and the General Assembly of the European Blues Union.
We remind you that this is the second edition of the European Blues Challenge in Portugal. The first time our country hosted this event was in 2019 in the city of Ponta Delgada.
