Marisa Liz returns to The Voice, artist is announced as mentor on “The Voice Gerações”
Artist is nominated for the Vodafone Song of the Year award at the Play Awards
Marisa Liz, one of the most iconic voices in Portuguese music, is preparing for a new challenge as a mentor on “The Voice Gerações”.
After nine editions of “The Voice Portugal”, four of them as a winning mentor, she won over the public with her charisma and dedication to the competitors. The artist now joins the panel of this special edition, which celebrates the union of different generations through music.
While embracing this new television project, Marisa continues to move audiences with the “Mensagens de Amor” tour. The show, which debuted in December with an unforgettable concert in Almada, presents an intimate format, in which the singer is accompanied by Guilherme Salgueiro (keyboard) and Ricardo Danin (drums). With packed rooms and unique proximity to the public, the tour now heads to the Ermesinde Cultural Forum, part of the “Sons na Fábrica” concert cycle, with more dates to be announced soon.
Furthermore, “Garota“, a song by Maninho and Marisa Liz, is nominated for the Vodafone Song of the Year Award at the Play – Portuguese Music Awards. The song achieved Platinum status and was the most listened-to song on Portuguese radio in 2024. With lyrics by Afonso Dubraz, Gonzalo Tau, Ary Rafeiro, Marisa Liz and Maninho, and produced by Rutz aka Zoo and Maninho, “Garota” captures the relaxed spirit of a summer afternoon. The official video, directed by Gonçalo Carvoeiros and produced by Mafalda Leal da Costa, features the participation of actress Sara Carinhas and model Tatiana Fernandes. Voting is open to the public on the official Play website, and the winners will be announced on April 3rd, at the Coliseu dos Recreios, in Lisbon.
