About The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power:
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power brings to the screen for the first time the famous legends from the Second Age of Middle-earth history. This epic drama takes place thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers to an Age where great powers were forged, Kingdoms rose in glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes have been tested, hopes have been spun by the finest threads, and one of the greatest villains to ever emerge from Tolkien’s pen threatens to cover the World in Darkness. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the much-feared resurgence of evil in Middle Earth.
