The Academic Theater of Gil Vicente (TAGV), in Coimbra, presents the Documentation Center, to document, digitize and illustrate the artistic activities developed by the theater since 1961
The Documentation Center gathers TAGV material and documents since the beginning of the theater, accompanying at the same time the various dynamics of the country, revealed the director of TAGV, Fernando Matos de Oliveira. According to Fernando Matos de Oliveira, this new space will digitize, process and preserve theater materials, also enabling workshops, meetings and even possible physical editions around its documentation and archives.
This year, TAGV should have 95% of all its programming available in digital format since 1961, with event files, and will also support university theater groups in Coimbra to work and process their files.
