Óbidos presents itself to compete in the 7 Wonders of New Gastronomy, with two delicacies made by pastry chefs/cooking chefs at the Evolutee Hotel at the Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort.
Thus, in the sweets category the chosen one was “Brisa do Lis com texturas de maçã”, by Bruna Duarte, and in the molecular cuisine category, João Nuno Silva prepared the recipe “Leitão Malhado de Alcobaça, Morcela & Jus”. Both reached regional finalists.
As for Bruna Duarte’s dish, presented live on RTP, on the 16th of July, it did not reach the national pre-finalist stage. On the 27th of this month, it will be João Silva’s turn to show his delicacy. To vote for the chef in Óbidos, the number is 760 207 818.
The 7 Wonders of New Gastronomy in Portugal, including vegan and molecular dishes is an initiative promoted by RTP and aims to “enhance the entire restaurant sector and encourage national production” at a time of great difficulties.
This is the 10th initiative linked to the ‘7 Wonders‘ concept, with New Gastronomy succeeding Popular Culture, whose election took place in 2020, and it should be noted that this edition also marks ten years since the 7 Wonders of Gastronomy were selected.
