The need to know the universe is something that dates back to the beginning of human existence. On February 7, at 10:30 pm, Odyssey premieres “The Conquest of Space”, a four-episode series that reveals the work of engineers and scientists from around the world to study the main elements to prepare future missions in space and expand our knowledge of the universe.
The future of space conquest will depend on controlling the four elements of our planet: air, fire, water, and earth. Air can take many forms, some of them yet to be discovered; fire is an element naturally associated with the sun, whose core burns at 15 million degrees Celsius; water can change its state (liquid, solid, gaseous), its temperature (hot or cold), its shape (in waves or waterfall), its composition (salt or sweet) and the earth element includes all matter organic matter on the surface of our planet, from the various types of rock to all layers underground.
The 20th century was a century of innovation and great scientific discoveries that made it possible to develop the technological resources that allowed for spatial expansion. This surprising series reveals the importance of studying air, water, earth, and fire in deepening spatial knowledge.
