Ólafur Arnalds, new tour through Portugal

Ólafur Arnalds has finally set a date to return to Portugal, where he was last before the pandemic, in 2019. And with him he brings the special song of “Some Kind of Peace”, a new album that also represents a new attitude in his life.

TICKETS ON SALE FROM 10:00 AM ON THURSDAY, APRIL 28

  • CCB – 12/14/22
  • Casa da Música – 12/15/22

In interviews, the musician candidly talks about his almost unhealthy need to control everything around him, but as the global health crisis of the last two years has shown, there are things that are beyond us and we cannot control.

Realizing this, the composer who has already collaborated with fellow countrymen Sigur Ros and with the also acclaimed composer Nils Frahm, decided to change his attitude and the new album reflects this transformation: “It’s such a personal record that I’m still trying to find the words to describe it,” he admits.

“I thought it was important for this record to tell my story in a very honest way. And this record is much closer to my heart than any of the others.” This is saying a lot for anyone who has worked on Chopin’s music or given soul to a mechanical piano in the acclaimed “re:member“.

A triumph that the Portuguese public will now be able to applaud with this new tour.
