“Olh’Ó Teatro 2021” starts in the parishes of the Municipality of Braga

The six projects approved by the ´Olh’Ó Teatro 2021 – Open Call for Artistic Projects´ already have dates scheduled to premiere.

The program will start in October, with the show “Em Banho Maria”, by Banquete, in the parish of Priscos, and will then pass through Este São Mamede, with the production of Malad’Arte, entitled “Rio Este”.

In 2022, the month of January will feature three shows: in Nogueira, with the CEA and the show “A laundry is dirty!”; in Sequeira, with Tin.Bra – Academia de Teatro and the show “Odisseia de Emigração – Ir”, and in the Monastery of Tibães, with the Theater Company of Braga presenting the “TARANTATA”.

To close the program, the Olh’Ó Theater arrives in São João de Souto with the performance “A Rua do Castelo that opens”, by Ana Paula Leite.

All shows are free, in order of arrival, subject to space capacity. In this call, the projects were invited to reflect on the territory, material and immaterial heritage, uses, customs and local traditions.

This initiative, carried out within the scope of Cultural Decentralization’ and promoted by the Municipality of Braga, aims to support artistic creation in the area of ​​Theater and is aimed at artists and cultural agents who are natural or resident in the Municipality.
