Oliveira de Azeméis receives the 6th edition of Azeméis Seasons Sounds

The 6th edition of the festival will take place on November 20, 2021, in Oliveira de Azeméis in the former Gemini Cinemas

It was almost 2 years without live music, but after the storm comes the calm, in fact, comes music, art and dance! The Azeméis Seasons Sounds returns to Oliveira de Azeméis, once again to Cinema, on the next day November 20, and is promised to return as a celebration!

The soiree will start with the immersive melodies of Bluish, a Lisbon duo who released their first EP in late 2018, On Our Own. Between synthesizers straight from the depths of our dreams and melancholic guitars, the dream pop band promises to involve the audience in an extrasensory experience. Next is the sound menu, as they describe themselves, of Time for T. The band brings together members of the most diverse nationalities and comes to present their album Galavanting, which is loaded with torrid sounds and vibrant melodies will lift listeners from chairs! The piece de résistance will be driven by the beats and rhythms of First Breath After Coma, which will literally give us a breath of fresh air after a culturally-induced coma. Not afraid to explore and risk their sound universe, NU, an album released in 2019, is a revolution in the band’s sound and even in the music conventionally produced in Portugal.

In addition to music, the visual arts will also be present in the form of a workshop run by Mantraste. Portuguese illustrator and author, Mantraste is a lover of popular mysticism and has over a hundred covers designed for authors such as JG Ballard, Ali Smith and Michel Rio among others.

As usual, the festival will once again promote social causes. This time, in order to sensitize people to the importance of mental health, solidarity tote bags will be on sale in partnership with designer Beatriz Freitas, where all the money raised will be donated to a mental health association.

Azeméis Seasons Sounds brings the signature of the Association Agir Fora da Caixa and the Youth Council of the Municipality of Oliveira de Azeméis. A co-organization that aims to promote events and cultural activities in the city of Oliveira de Azeméis. The ‘Culture and Art Community‘ is also an official partner of this event with the aim of promoting and making known the emerging artists of the Portuguese cultural scene.

Tickets are already available here for a fixed amount of €7.

It is also essential that the rules established by the General Directorate of Health are complied with, which makes it mandatory to wear a mask properly inside the premises, as well as ensuring physical distance and hand hygiene.
