A British publication specializing in architecture has selected, among the 19 most incredible streets in the world, the streets of the city of Águeda in Portugal.
Namely, under the ‘Umbrella Sky Project’. This project started in 2011 as part of the annual Ágitagueda art festival.
Every summer several streets of this Portuguese city are filled with umbrellas, which provide shade to all the visitors that pass by and that provide an unmistakable visual spectacle.
Instinctively we can appreciate the streets just like passages designed to cross the city, but the truth is that in some cases these roads are true works of art, and Águeda proves this.
Among the most captivating streets are also the Qiyi Street, in Lijiang, China; the Champs-Élysées, in Paris, France; and Burano, Italy.
