Grammy nominated band OneRepublic have just released a new single, “Runaway”.
This is the band’s first unreleased song since the hit “I Ain’t Worried”, which was part of the blockbuster “Top Gun: Maverick” and which so far has more than 3 billion streams.
In conjunction with the release of the single, OneRepublic premiered the official video for the song. Directed by Tomás Whitmore, the video was filmed during the band’s recent tour of Asia, which passed through Hong Kong, Manila, Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok , Taipei and Tokyo. It shows the band performing the new single atop Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay Sands, a 56-story, all-suite resort. This building serves as the perfect backdrop, capturing the essence of the trip.
The video starts with the band boarding a plane to Asia, letting the world disappear as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime. As they arrive in Asia, the video shows a series of fast-travel images – perfectly timed to the fast-paced energy of the song.
