Orquestra Filarmónica plays at Campo Pequeno

The Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra presents the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth on June 21 at Campo Pequeno in Lisbon.

In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven, the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Osvaldo Ferreira, presents two of the most emblematic works of this great composer: the 5th Symphony, celebrated for the rhythm of his first bars and the 5th Piano concert, also known as “emperor”, the last of the piano and orchestra concerts composed by the genius born in Boon. At the piano will be one of the most representative Portuguese pianists of his generation, João Bettencourt da Câmara.

Founded in May 2016 by Osvaldo Ferreira and Augusto Trindade, the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra produces symphonic concerts, opera and promotes connections to other artistic genres, in a constant search for the development of differentiating and unique events and shows, thus building the reputation of to be a unique orchestra in the Portuguese music scene, due to its versatility, eclecticism and vision of the future.

June 21 will be the opportunity to attend the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth with the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra.
