The Municipal Orchestra of Sintra – D. Fernando II, under the direction of conductor Cesário Costa, presents the “New Year’s Concert” on January 15th at 9 pm at the Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval.
This concert, free of charge, presents a program intended to celebrate, with the best music, the entry into the new year. The program, among others, includes works by Alfredo Keil, a composer closely linked to Sintra, namely the modern premieres of the Suites for Orchestra No. 2 and 3, Waldteufel, Tchaikovsky and, of course, Johann Strauss.
The Sintra Municipal Orchestra – D. Fernando II is a unique project at the national level that aims to allow the enjoyment of great classical music throughout the territory of the municipality of Sintra.
Admission to this concert is free, but limited to the available capacity, with a maximum of 2 tickets per person.
