Os Azeitonas are preparing for a very special 2025: the band is announcing a national tour where they will celebrate 20 years of career. In March they will release a double vinyl with a limited edition, which includes 20 emblematic songs of the band, with new versions.
The tour “AZ 20 Years” will open the chest of memories: from best to worst, from shame to pride, from what was already forgotten that they had done or kept. From the hundreds of concerts over thousands of kilometres, they trod a little throughout the country, and not only albums, DVDs, photos, videos, unpublished, and more can be found inside a chest. The first memory to celebrate happens this holiday season, with the song “Christmas of Truth”.
It was in 2005 that the band Marlon, Salsa and Nena released the first album of originals: “Um Tanto ou Quanto Atarantado”, the one they affectionately call“álbum zerø”.. 20 years later, in 2025 the band will travel the country and celebrate the vast songbook: from the hits “Quem és Tu Miúda”, “Tonto de ti”, “Dança menina dança”, “Cinegirasol”, “Anda Comigo ver os Aviões”, and will also refish some songs that are no longer part of the lineup or have never been part of at all.
The tour starts already this year with two concerts: on December 30th they perform in Quarteira, and on December 31st in Guimarães.
“AZ 20 Anos” will culminate with a concert at the Coliseu do Porto in October 2025.
