The Ganso present Vice Versa in three doses in B.Leza
The first sold-out night of Granso at B.Leza was hidden in the smoke and darkness, worth the music, in an almost fantastic night in the mythical room of Lisbon.
The Lisbon-based artists Ganso, Luís Ricciardi, João Sala, Miguel Barreira, Gonçalo Bicudo and Diogo “Horse” Rodrigues presented at B.Leza their new studio work, Vice Versa, after touring the country, arrived in Lisbon for three sold-out concerts, full of friends and fans, that, they accompanied them singing and dancing, even when they could not see them on stage.
João Sala mentioned in the presentation of the concert “One year ago, the Zizou Project was born (the name we gave to the dream of going to record in France). The objectives were three: to record for the first time in a studio not homemade and not safe, to be recorded by someone with much experience, alien to our music and our musical environment and, of course, to the romantic side of crossing the Pyrenees in a car full of instruments, towards a week of dreams and leaving behind the nostalgic cafés at 0,70€”.
And you hear the difference in this album with production by Domingos Coimbra (Captain Fausto) and Anthony Cazade (Arctic Monkeys, Nick Cave), this concert was really good, where the Ganso presented the songs of Vice Versa, but where his best-known themes have not been forgotten.
The weak point was even the light, which in B.Leza is rarely good, to which the band added industrial doses of smoke, making for several times the air not breathable and visibility null, as if the people responsible for the lights and fumes had made in B.Leza their first concert.
