NAPA achieved #1 in the Top AFP in the week of March 7th to 13th, a ranking that aggregates all streaming platforms in Portugal.
This achievement comes after the victory at the Festival da Canção 2025 and the choice to represent Portugal at Eurovision, thus consolidating the phenomenon that the band has been building.
The Festival’s winning single, “Deslocado“, stood out from the very first moment and, on the day of the final, on March 8th, it had already surpassed the 1 million streams mark on Spotify alone. This number signals not only the song’s immediate impact but also the growing interest in the band’s discography. With the success of “Deslocado“, many have been exploring NAPA’s repertoire, rediscovering notable songs such as “Se Eu Morresse Amanhã”, “Senso Comum”, “Na Lua” and “Areia”. This new wave of attention reaffirms the versatility and artistic depth of the project, which has been winning over an increasingly wider audience.
Additionally, and even before the Festival da Canção final, “Deslocado” went viral on TikTok, with its lyrics resonating with people who identify as “displaced“, either because they are from Madeira, like NAPA, or because they are away from their hometown to study or work. The theme inspired thousands of users to create videos sharing their personal experiences, further increasing the impact of the song. This success has been reflected in an exponential growth in monthly listeners and followers on social media, reinforcing the strong connection that NAPA is creating with the public.
In 2019, NAPA released its debut album “Senso Comum”, bringing a musical proposal that mixes indie, pop and rock influences with a strong poetic component. Over the last few years, the band has established itself as one of the most promising on the national music scene, frequently being praised for the authenticity of its compositions and the energy it brings to its live shows.
NAPA will take to the Eurovision stage to represent Portugal with “Deslocado” on May 13th, in Basel, Switzerland.
