The Quatro e Meia, are the most recent and last confirmation for the Super Bock stage, on August 15, at O Sol da Caparica. The band from Coimbra, which has already sold out venues such as Coliseu de Lisboa, Campo Pequeno, Super Bock Arena, and Coliseu do Porto, returns to Parque Urbano da Costa da Caparica, with another maturity.
Currently with six members – João Cristóvão Rodrigues (violin and mandolin), Mário Ferreira (accordion and vocals), Pedro Figueiredo (percussion), Ricardo Liz Almeida (guitar and vocals), Rui Marques (double bass), and Tiago Nogueira (guitar and vocals), Os Quatro e Meia seek, in a relaxed and well-disposed way, to give new looks and sounds in the composition of songs made in the language of Camões.
Based on this ideology, the band appropriated a recurring expression from our daily lives, “P’ra Frente é Que É Lisboa”, to create their first composition, and thus baptize their presentation single. The debut album – “Pontos nos Is” – was released on June 30, 2017, and went directly to the top of the national sales chart.
In September 2020, Os Quatro e Meia released their second album of originals, “O Tempo Vai Esperar”, produced by João Só. The singles “A Terra Gira”, “Canção do Metro” and “Bom Rapaz”, which have the special participation of the musician Carlão, are some of the successes present in this work, which, like the previous one, won first place in the top national sales in the week it was published.
“Ola Solidão”, is the latest single and is part of the next long play to be presented this year and which composes the lineup of the concert that the band will give at O Sol da Caparica, on August 15th.
