Osiris, Sobral, Uria, D’Santiago. Everyone will sing for Mozambique

‘Mão Dada a Moçambique’ promises to be a unique cultural event to help the victims of cyclone Idai.

Conan Osíris, Salvador Sobral, Samuel Uria, and Dino D’Santiago are just some of the names that will be present on April 2 at the Capitólio Theater in Lisbon, in a show whose revenues will “totally” revert to eight associations that are working together with the victims of Cyclone Idai in Mozambique.

‘Mão Dada a Moçambique’ is the name of the concert and promises to be one of the biggest cultural events of Portuguese solidarity, being even transmitted live by RTP, as it had already been announced.

The concert, organized by Mozambican singer Selma Uamusse, will start at 9:00 pm and the “special broadcast will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on RTP 1 and Antena 1”.

The public television station, in addition to broadcasting the show, will have telephone lines open from 10 am for value-added solidarity calls.

The complete list of artists can now be found on the page created for the event on Facebook. Among them, besides those mentioned above, are Ana Moura, Best Youth, D’Alva, Gisela João, Luisa Sobral, Márcia, Moullinex, Noiserv, Rita Redshoes, Rodrigo Leão, Sara Tavares, Surma or The Legendary Tigerman.

“The eight beneficiary associations will be AMI – International Medical Assistance Foundation, Portuguese Red Cross, Médecins Sans Frontières, HELPO Association, Girl Move Foundation, ACRAS – Christian association for re-insertion and social support and Iris Relief”, adds.

The normal ticket costs 20 euros and is on sale in the usual places, giving access to the show, at the Cineteatro Capitólio of Parque Mayer, in Lisbon. Those who can not attend the concert but want to contribute with this money have the donation ticket available, which costs between 20 and 30 euros and is also available at the usual outlets.
