Autumn in Porto: 5 ways to enjoy the gray days

Now that the cold has settled in Invicta, taking advantage of a good experience can be a challenge when the rain insists on changing plans.

In the absence of outdoor programs, and so that low temperatures are not synonymous with monotony, we leave you with five suggestions to celebrate the charm of autumn days in Porto, with those closest to you or in your own company.

Pamper yourself at the Saboaria SPA

Housed in the former annexe of one of Porto’s most important soap factories, known for producing the famous Offenbach Soap, the Saboaria SPA is today one of the central places of the hotel, but also a safe choice when the desire is to disconnect from routine and restore body and mind. Erected as a true temple of relaxation in the centre of the garden, this urban wellness centre located in the boutique hotel Saboaria seeks to stimulate guests and visitors through biocosmetics, phytotherapy, and aromatherapy, offering a sensory experience that values natural and ancestral practices. With the seal of the Portuguese brand D’Natureza, the SPA offers everything from invigorating massages to facial and body treatments, with its offerings also extending to yoga practices or soap workshops, available by reservation. After your treatment, be sure to check out the new soap shop located next to the reception, filled with soaps, candles, room fragrances, and scented essential oils from brands like Amor Luso, Airbell, Claus Porto, and some handmade products by Juliana D’Ara, producer of Bio Natural Cosmetics.

Since 2020, Blind has been winning the hearts of travellers and locals for the surprising way it combines unlikely flavours with an audacious experience that doesn’t end on the palate. Proof of this was the two recent achievements by the famous Michelin Guide, which this year included the project in its list of recommended restaurants, also awarding the Young Chef of the Year to Chef Rita Magro. Open from Tuesday to Saturday for dinner, the restaurant led by award-winning Chef Vitor Matos and talented Chef Rita Magro is proof that, with the right dose of boldness and fantasy, it is possible to transform a memorable dining experience into something truly unforgettable.
