A cardboard Christmas Village, live concerts, Christmas tales, a realistic nativity scene, showers of lights, and giant wreaths. These are some of the details of the Christmas magic that Oeiras Parque is experiencing and that this year is wrapped in decoration in shades of green, cream, and gold.
In a surprising setting, the Nativity scene features an illuminated village with small houses, a lake, trees, and miniature mechanical dolls, realistically telling the whole story of the birth of Jesus. Designed by the artist Cláudia Perdigão, the iconic Nativity Scene is on display on the 2nd floor.
On the same floor, children will be able to find Aldeia do Natal, built-in detail with cardboard, which includes a circuit and a scenario with various interactions. At the end of the village, each child will be given a cardboard kit to be built, from which Elf or Santa Claus masks will come out.
On the 1st floor, Santa Claus with a real beard will be available to listen to the children’s most secret wishes. Until December 24th, all you have to do is pass by the giant Christmas tree to see the lord of the white beards live and in color. On December 18th, around 11 am, he will have the help of FNAC storyteller, Inês Blanc, for the Christmas Story Hour.
Oeiras Parque will also offer its visitors live Christmas concerts, every Saturday in December. On the 17th, the mall will receive the Choir of Santo Amaro de Oeiras.
This year, Oeiras Parque’s Christmas decoration uses colors that refer to nature. The green, cream, and gold tones bring the comfort and magic of the time, but also this mall’s concern for the environment. One of the practical examples is energy saving, using low consumption lighting (LED), and only turning on the Christmas lights between 5 pm and 11 pm.
