Patrícia Mamona broke the national record for the triple jump

This Friday, Patricia Mamona broke the national record for the triple jump. In the Monaco stage of the Diamond League, the Portuguese athlete registered the mark of 14.66 meters, one centimeter more than the previous maximum record.

With this leap, Patrícia Mamona finished the contest in third place, surpassed only by the Jamaican Shanieka Ricketts and the world champion, the Venezuelan Yulimar Rojas.

Remember that the previous national record also belonged to Patricia Mamona. In the 2016 Olympic Games, in Rio de Janeiro, the national athlete registered a 14.65 meter mark, which earned her sixth place.
