On July 10th, the legend PAUL ANKA takes the stage at EDPCOOLJAZZ, where he will present his latest show ‘GREATEST HITS HIS WAY’, at Hipódromo Manuel Possolo, in Cascais.
With a career spanning eight decades, PAUL ANKA is distinguished as one of the most successful composers and artists in history. The artist has sold over 10 million albums worldwide and 60 million copies of his compositions, has over 150 million airplay and has composed over 900 songs.
The latest album – “Making Memories”, is a set of reinvented classics as well as new themes. Released in August 2021, the album includes new collaborations with many of his iconic hits: “Put Your Head On My Shoulder” with Olivia Newton-John, “You Are My Destiny” with Il Divo, “My Way” with Andrea Bocelli and Michael Bublé, and just after the 50th anniversary of her career musical.
Paul Anka made his debut at age 15 with his first #1 hit ‘Diana‘. He left his mark on the film world, writing the Oscar-nominated theme – “The Longest Day” – as well as the longest-running theme in history for The Tonight Show with Jonny Carson. More recently, he became a TikTok sensation with the remix of his #1 hit ‘Put Your Head on My Shoulder‘. With a career spanning decades, Paul Anka has worked with a multitude of icons, including Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Frank Sinatra, Peter Cetera, Celine Dion, Tom Jones, Michael Jackson, Michael Bublé, Justin Timberlake and Drake. One of the most successful artists in Billboard history – and the only artist to have an album on the Billboard Top 100 Chart for seven consecutive decades.
The 17th edition of the EDPCOOLJAZZ welcomes next year: John Legend / Murta (2 July 2022), Paul Anka (10 July 2022), Yann Tiersen (21 July 2022), Miguel Araújo / Tiago Nacarato (23 July 2022), Diana Krall (27 July 2022), Jordan Rakei and Moses Boyd (28 July 2022) and Jorge Ben Jor (30 July 2022).

The EDPCOOLJAZZ is postponed to 2022 following the pandemic and respective legal and public health conditions, namely with the approval of the Portuguese Government’s draft law, which determines the non-realization of events scheduled in the normal format by virtue of COVID 19.
Tickets issued for the 17th edition of the EDPCOOLJAZZ in 2020 and 2021 are valid for the 2022 edition, and it is not necessary to exchange them.
