Paulo Brissos is back to the albums with “Roque, o Português“, a nostalgic but forward-looking album.
“This record brings 10 original songs from Rock and Ballads, Pop/Rock if you like, with some Folk and Blues in the mix as always. It brings a nostalgic message through the eyes of a character who despite looking back fondly and remembering the golden years from Rock Português, in the sonorities and in the words, looks forward with a blink of an eye to new environments and realities“, says Paulo about the new project.
Preceded by the singles “Roque, o Português” and “Redes Sociais”, the album is now presented with the song “Nasceu uma Estrela” a special theme as Paulo Brissos says: “on June 27, 2003 a star named Mariana was born Brissos. She’s the apple of my eye. Unfortunately I had to go away for some time to study in the United States in 2005, two years after her birth. The distance created the conditions for the composition of some songs, including this “Born Uma Estrela.” Originally written in English, the theme was now included in the range of songs that are part of my next album, in a Portuguese version, and with Mariana’s participation in the choirs and an improvisation in the final part of the theme“.
“Roque, o Português” will be presented live in the coming months (dates to be revealed soon) throughout the country, where Paulo will present the new album and visit some mandatory themes such as “Serás Tu” and “Sentimentos Por Ti”.
“Roque, o Português” is now available on all digital platforms.
