Paus at TMJB in Almada
The band Paus will be at the Joaquim Benite Municipal Theater on the 18th of February, at 9 pm, for a concert based on their most recent album Yess.
‘Yess‘, the last album by PAUS, was released in 2019 and serves as the basis for the show that the group brings to the stage of the Main Room of Teatro Municipal Joaquim Benite. The disc features the collaboration of the Brazilian musician Grass Mass in the arrangements for modular synthesizers.
This work with electronic textures contributed to expanding the imagination of what a PAUS record could be — from the dance floors of Lisbon to the dimly lit punk rock clubs, from the drumming circles on the streets of São Paulo to the raves of Berlin. In the band’s own words: “Life comes straight ahead and the only answer is Yess”.
PAUS is a band created in 2009 and is currently composed of Fábio Jevelim, Hélio Morais, Joaquim Albergaria, and Makoto Yagyu. The group has had a prominent place in its universe, being a constant presence at summer festivals: NOS Alive, Paredes de Coura, and Super Bock Super Rock, among others. They have played throughout Europe at relevant festivals, as well as in Mexico and the United States of America. In 14 years of existence, they have published five albums. Madeira, published in 2018, was Number 1 on the sales chart in Portugal.
