Pedro Abrunhosa releases new single “Não Te Ausentes de Mim”
The musician will perform in January next year at the SuperBock Arena, in Porto, and at the MEO Arena, in Lisbon
Pedro Abrunhosa’s new single, “Não Te Ausentes de Mim”, is now available. The song, included in his next album to be released in September, marks the end of a recording cycle for the author.
About the song, Pedro Abrunhosa shares:
“It is in the poem that the intimacy and mystery of the song reside. And, from what I infer from my own experience, it is through the word that the song takes root and endures in the inconsistency of so many.
‘Não Te Ausentes De Mim’ is the first single from an album that was built on the poetic concept of language. Here, there is nothing more than the simplicity of a story of surrender and absence. But all simplicity has deep roots. Only for machines does simple mean probabilistic expected.
On the contrary, I believe that Poetry is humanity’s inescapable ability to converse with the gods.”
The single featured the collaboration of musicians Cláudio Souto (Keyboards), Eurico Amorim (Piano and Keyboards), Miguel Barros (Bass), Pedro Martins (Drums), Bruno Macedo (Electric Guitars), Paulo Praça (Acoustic Guitar), Paulo Gravato (Tenor Sax), Rui Pedro Silva (Flugelhorn, Trumpet), Daniel Dias (Trombone), Patrícia Antunes (Choirs) and Patrícia Silveira (Choirs). Recorded at BOOM Studios in January 2025, the song was produced by Pedro Abrunhosa and co-produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by João Bessa.
The music video for the song, recorded in Serra da Estrela and Ovar, will be released next Thursday, directed by Filipe Correia dos Santos and featuring actors Miguel Nunes and Inês Herédia.
After selling out the MEO Arena and 5 concerts at the Super Bock Arena, Pedro Abrunhosa returns to these venues at the beginning of next year: on January 24, 2026, at the Super Bock Arena (Porto) and on January 31, 2026, at the MEO Arena (Lisbon). Tickets are now on sale.
In the meantime, he continues to tour across the country throughout 2025, with 75 shows already confirmed, including four performances in Brazil.
