Pedro da Linha, an artist who stands out for his fusion of urban and electronic rhythms, returns with a new original EP, DICAS, to be released next month, on November 8, under the Enchufada label.
DICAS includes four collaborative tracks that cross-referenced continents to find a common sonic space among them. These include the Spanish artists La Pili and Dianka, Brazilian MU540, and long-time partner Branko, who are part of this EP.
This new EP closes a year of various new original releases by Pedro da Linha, songs where the artist had the opportunity to collaborate with artists like The Legendary Tigerman, Wost, Lucy Val, and Dino D’Santiago, on tracks such as “Oji é Oji,” “Aqui Se Faz, Aqui Se Paga,” among others.
Still, in 2024, Pedro da Linha, who also has a broad career as a DJ, presented us with an EP of remixes of songs already released by artists like Arca, Ana Lua Caiano, and Judeline.
DICAS is the future of Pedro da Linha, but also a return, as the artist returns to Enchufada, the main hub of national dance music, which guarantees the release of this EP. It will be available on all digital platforms on November 8.
The first live performances of DICAS will be announced soon.
About Pedro da Linha
Originally from Damaia, Pedro da Linha has been establishing himself as one of the most important names in the renewal of national music. As a producer and composer, he has been responsible for the latest works of Ana Moura, Eu.Clides, among others.
As a DJ, he is a descendant of the golden age of national clubbing, during which Principe Discos and Enchufada are central to interpreting and forming various new beats in the sound of Lisbon.
A regular collaborator at Musicbox Lisboa, he has been responsible for the debut in the city of several names from the forefront of international clubbing, such as Nick Leon, MJ Nebreda, Merca Bae, and INVT, among others.
This 2024 marks the return of Pedro da Linha to authorial music, with the release of several singles and the EP “TIPS.”
