Pedro e os Lobos edit the new single ‘California’ on digital platforms.
The return to singles by Pedro e os Lobos is made with California, a theme not about that US state but rather, as Pedro Galhoz explains to us “although the world is experiencing highly troubled times, we (band) are at peace. California in this song is an ideal, a good place desired by those looking for a change, a place where time unites instead of dividing. The sun, the stars, the ocean, summer, dreams, special moments and promises …romantic? maybe…”
But this return also brings some innovations in terms of sound for the musicality of Pedro e os Lobos. In fact, Pedro Galhoz even tells us that “I’ve always been a fan of psychedelic rock and folk, it’s therapeutic and a great music school, so I resorted to the sounds of some more retro synths to give “California” the colors that guitars can’t give . I love wasting time turning machine knobs and having fun with the sound they provide, in short, I still enjoy making music”.
Pedro e os Lobos are also preparing a concert on April 1st at Cine Incredible in Almada. We asked Pedro Galhoz what the lineup will be. The musician states that “I’m a fan of concerts and for me, the songs only reach a special meaning when shared with the public, so I assume that we’re going to play California but also a significant part of the new album, after all, it’s new!”
