Pedro Figueiredo is 38th in the Abu Dhabi tournament

The Portuguese Pedro Figueiredo finished today in the 38th place the first lap of the Abu Dhabi Championship, a test of the European circuit of golf.

Pedro Figueiredo, who is tied with 23 other players, finished the lap with 70 strokes (two below par), having scored two birdies (one below).

The tournament is led by Irishman Shane Lowry, who delivered today a card with 62 strokes (10 below), matching the field record.
