Pedro Moutinho announces Helder Moutinho, Lura and New Max as guests
for the Tivoli BBVA concert on 25 January
Based on the repertoire of the album CASA D’ÁGUA, the show will also cover the fados and most striking songs of the singer’s career.
André Dias, on the Portuguese guitar; Daniel Pinto, on the acoustic bass; and Pedro Soares, on the viola; they are the fado trio which will join the invited musicians: João Correia and Frankie Chavez (responsible for the production of their last EP ÁGUA).
Pedro Moutinho had already announced the participation of Helder Moutinho, during the release of the duet “Algo que Esvoaça”, the new single of the artist with lyrics by Amélia Muge and music by Mário Laginha.
In the words of Pedro Moutinho his brother “He owns the unmatched voice that everyone knows. I have always admired the expressive and intense way in which he interprets and feels the verses he sings, not only those that he delivers to him but also those that he writes so well, to which I and other interpreters have already had the pleasure of giving voice.”
About the invitation to Lura, Pedro Moutinho says: “We met during the movie «Fados», by Carlos Saura, in which we both participated. I was immediately captivated by the depth of his voice and how his timbre reveals his multiculturalism. We met later in several fado houses and at one of these meetings I heard her sing the «Fado Para Esta Noite» – an unforgettable moment, for her sensitivity, talent and strength.”
Regarding Tiago Novo aka New Max, Pedro Moutinho shares: “I first met him as a listener of Expensive Soul, whose versatility and ability to merge styles seduced me. In addition to this mutual admiration, we are united by our passion for our Alentejo, where we have lived and settled our friendship. An unlikely duet? No doubt! But we propose to prove to you that there are meeting points in universes so different. It is see to believe!”
