Pedro Moutinho sells out CCB
Pedro Moutinho presents live, in the cycle Há Fado no Cais, his most recent record work: “CASA”.
The fado singer, who has never stopped feeling the pulse of traditional fado, thus embarks on his journey to offer the public a raw record. An EP in which he delivers the same soul and deference that he transmits whenever he sings in some of the most prestigious fado houses in Lisbon, and also in national and international venues.
In this concert, Pedro Moutinho will be accompanied by José Manuel Neto on the Portuguese guitar, Pedro Soares on the fado viola and Frederico Gato on the acoustic bass.

Pedro Moutinho, who has been exploring different sounds and modulations that fado allows, always with respect for his matrices, now returns to a safe haven that he knows and masters well. “CASA” was recorded with André Dias on Portuguese guitar, Pedro Soares on viola, and Frederico Gato on bass. It has arrangements by Filipe Raposo on the theme “Casa de Água”, a unique partnership with lyrics by João Monge and music by Amélia Muge. It also features unpublished lyrics by Maria do Rosário Pedreira, Teresinha Landeiro, and the recreation of the classic “Um Resto de Mouraria”, with lyrics by Carlos Conde and music by violist Martinho da Assunção.
Pedro Moutinho was lulled by the sound of fado and grew up with it as if it were a genetic inheritance. There is no separation between the fado and the man who sings it. Between the first album and “CASA“, 20 years passed on a unique path that made him one of the great fadistas of our time.
“CASA” is a co-production of EGEAC | Museu do Fado and will be presented live in this concert on February 9th, at the CCB, as part of the cycle Há Fado no Cais, with the support of Antena 1.
