Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey will star in the series ‘The Last Of Us’
HBO and Naughty Dog have already chosen the actors who will be in charge of playing Joel and Ellie in ‘The Last of Us’, a PlayStation exclusive originally released in 2013 and which will now be entitled to a television adaptation.
The chosen ones are Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, known for playing Oberyn Martell and Lyanna Mormont (respectively) in ‘Game of Thrones’. Pascal also became best known for his appearances on ‘Narcos’ and ‘The Mandalorian’. Meanwhile, producer Naughty Dog has already confirmed the news with a post on its Twitter page (below).
The story of ‘The Last of Us’ takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting in a world plagued by a strange disease. It is against this background that Joel must be able to take Ellie out of a quarantine zone, strengthening ties through various life and death situations.
HBO’s adaptation of ‘The Last of Us’ will feature the participation of Naughty Dog co-president and producer of the original game, Neil Druckmann, as well as the creator of the ‘Chernobyl’ series, ‘Craig Mazin’.
