Playing in the Buenos Aires tournament in Argentina, Pedro Sousa reaches the final, after Diego Schwartzman resigned due to injury.

The Argentine tennis player, 14th in the ranking, suffered a rupture in his left thigh in the match in which he beat Pablo Cuevas.

Pedro Sousa is the Portuguese tennis player to reach an end of the ATP circuit, after Frederico Gil at the Estoril Open in 2010 and João Sousa in 2013 and 2018.
