With the Barreiro Festivities in its final stretch, it was Diogo Piçarra’s turn to take the Marés Stage, where he was greeted by thousands of fans who wanted to be with him for a night of sharing, celebration, and music.
The Barreiro Festivities welcomed Diogo Piçarra on the penultimate day of the Festival in Honour of Our Lady of the Rosary, for a concert full of emotion and joy, presented by one of the greatest artists of his generation. On a musical journey, with Diogo at the helm, we heard his greatest hits, with the audience cheering to each song. Fans of all ages sang and danced with him from start to finish.
Songs like “Tu e Eu,” “Dialeto,” “História,” “Anjos” (with Carolina Deslandes), “Paraíso,” “Monarquia” (with Bispo), and “Amor de Ferro” (with Pedro Abrunhosa) propelled Diogo to stardom, earning him thousands of fans.
Diogo Piçarra, a Portuguese singer, songwriter, and producer, formed the band “Fora da Bóia” at age 17, but it was after winning the fifth season of the television show “Ídolos” in 2012 that he achieved fame.
After winning the competition, he signed a record deal and released his first EP, Sessions. The mix of pop and pop rock and his lyrics, which address themes of love, relationships, and personal growth, captivate his fans. He is also now a mentor on the show “The Voice Portugal,” where he helps young talents achieve their dreams.
Throughout his career, Diogo Piçarra has released several successful albums, which reached prominent positions in the Portuguese charts, Sessions (EP, 2014), Espelho (2015), do=s (2017), Abrigo (EP, 2018), South Side Boy (2019), SNTMNTL (2024) and Chuva (EP, 2024), being one of the most beloved Portuguese artists by the public.
