Peugeot 208 is the car of the year

The European Car of the year 2020 is the Peugeot 208, an award that the manufacturer wins for the third time.

[dropcap type=”background”]I[/dropcap]n a ceremony that took place yesterday, the Peugeot model won the award with 281 votes, according to data released by the organization. In second place and with 242 points was the electric Tesla Model 3 and in third the Porsche Taycan.

The organization in a statement mentions that “The small Peugeot, which offers a fully electric version, obtained 281 points and 17 individual votes. With 242 points and the same number of votes, the Tesla Model 3 electric car came in second.“

The prize was expected to be announced at the Geneva Motor Show, an event that was cancelled due to the new coronavirus.
