Three dozen images of photojournalist Daniel Rodrigues will be gathered in an exhibition starting on Saturday in Ponta Delgada.
In a period in which our movements are, more than ever, limited, the exhibition “O OLHAR DO MUNDO“, by Daniel Rodrigues, takes us on a journey around the globe through a set of 30 photographs that portray the experience and the author’s adventures across four different continents.
From the largest train in the world in Mauritania to the frantic trains of India, from the Awá Guajá tribe, with whom the photographer lived for a month, to the Holi Festival of colors.
Daniel Rodrigues started his career at the Portuguese Photography Institute (2010) and it was at Correio da Manhã and at the Global Images agency that he became professional. After that, he has seen his works printed in numerous reference publications, such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Al Jazeera, Expresso or Visão.
It already has a series of international awards, including the 1st place Daily Life, in the World Press Photo. He is currently a photographer for the New York Times and works as a freelancer all over the world.
The exhibition will be open from next Saturday, 26 September, to 27 October 2020, every day from 12 pm to 8 pm at Azor Hotel with free entry.
