From the 10th to the 15th of September, Pieter Bijl will lead a two-day wave sailing clinic and another on performance freeride slalom, with specific hours depending on the weather conditions. The Dutchman has dedicated his life to windsurfing, both in competitive aspects and in equipment development and training.
He will be sharing his expertise at FeelViana Sport Hotel, working with participants in the water to help them improve their techniques, and instructing them on the best ways to surf and approach the waves.
This initiative further establishes the hotel as a global reference for key figures in watersports. Just last month, James Casey, a multidisciplinary world champion and coach from Sydney, conducted three clinics at the country’s first thematic hotel dedicated to watersports, focusing on foil (wing foil) at Praia do Cabedelo, stand-up paddle foil at FeelViana Wakepark at Praia do Cabedelo, and pump foil also at FeelViana Wakepark.
FeelViana Sport Hotel houses the largest nautical centre in the country, which reopened in May and now operates throughout the year. Currently, the space offers opportunities to engage in five different sports: kitesurfing, windsurfing, surfing, stand-up paddle, and wing foil.
